Cookie Policy

Empire uses a short, functional memory: keeping you signed in, protecting sessions, and remembering how you like the interface. Not following you around the web.

Effective August 17, 2026Part of the Privacy Policy

This policy covers cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar browser technologies used by Web5 Labs LLC for Empire LLM.

01 / EssentialSessions need a secure handshake.

Authentication and security storage keeps accounts working and helps prevent abuse.

02 / PreferencesYour browser remembers your setup.

Theme, language, model, layout, and feature preferences may stay on your device.

03 / No ad trailNo advertising cookies.

We do not use cookies to build cross-site advertising profiles or sell personal information.

01 / The basics

“Cookies” includes similar local technology.

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Empire LLM also uses local storage and session storage, which keep small pieces of data on your device. In this policy, “cookies” means all of these technologies unless we distinguish them.

They cannot read arbitrary files on your device. They can, however, contain identifiers or preferences that qualify as personal information when linked to an account or device.

02 / What we use

Function first, measurement second.

Strictly necessary

These technologies authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect against fraud and abuse, balance requests, and remember security state. Blocking them may prevent login, checkout, saved settings, or other core features.

Preferences and experience

Local browser storage may remember theme and accent choices, language, model and council preferences, dismissed notices, recent workspace state, user tier display, and similar interface settings. These make the product feel continuous between visits.

Limited performance and diagnostics

We may use first-party identifiers and server logs to diagnose errors, understand feature reliability, prevent duplicate requests, and improve performance. We do not use them for cross-site behavioral advertising.

What we do not use

We do not intentionally place third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or data-broker cookies, and we do not sell personal information collected through cookies.

03 / Current inventory

A practical map of browser storage.

  • Authentication session: a secure session cookie used to keep you signed in and associate requests with your account. Duration depends on session settings and may end at logout or expiration.
  • Theme and appearance: local-storage values such as theme mode, accent, and display preferences. These persist until changed or cleared.
  • Language and model preferences: local-storage values for preferred language, model presets, research and trust settings, and interface configuration. These persist until changed or cleared.
  • Workspace continuity: local or session storage for a recent conversation identifier, cached catalog data, dismissed notices, and request de-duplication. Duration varies from the current tab session to a limited persistent cache.
  • Checkout return state: short-lived URL or session information used to confirm a completed hosted payment and provision the correct tier.

Names, contents, and durations may change as we improve the Service, but their purposes remain within the categories described here.

04 / Third parties

Leaving Empire can create a different cookie context.

When you choose a hosted checkout, sign-in provider, external provider dashboard, or another linked service, that third party may set cookies on its own domain under its own policy. Empire LLM does not control cookies placed by a third party on that party’s website.

Embedded or proxied services used behind the scenes generally receive server requests rather than placing cookies directly in your browser. Their broader data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

05 / Your controls

You can reset the browser’s memory.

You can block or delete cookies through browser or device settings, use private-browsing mode, clear site data for Empire LLM, and sign out to end an active account session. Browser help pages explain the exact controls.

Blocking strictly necessary storage may make the Service unusable. Clearing preference storage resets theme, language, model, and layout choices. We do not currently offer a separate advertising-cookie opt-out because we do not use advertising cookies.

06 / Privacy signals

No sale means no sale signal is needed.

Some browsers send Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” signals. Because Empire LLM does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or advertising sharing to opt out of through these signals. We treat recognized legally binding signals as required by applicable law.

07 / Updates & contact

We will keep this inventory honest.

We may update this Cookie Policy as browser technology, Service features, or legal requirements change. We will post a new effective date and provide additional notice where required.
